A Massachusetts man was in court in Bourne this past week on Massachusetts Sex Crimes Charges, answering to allegations that he raped and attempted to murder a woman on Cape Cod.

James Pearson, 42, was arrested and charged with Rape and Attempted Murder.

According to the Bourne Police Department, Pearson and the unidentified woman were in an apartment and a neighbor reportedly heard an assault. The woman then reportedly ran to the neighbors apartment door and stated she had been thrown down and kicked in the head several times.

A 45 year old Stoughton woman was arraigned this morning in Brockton District Court on various Massachusetts Sex Crimes Charges for allegedly running prostitution services in Brockton, Norwood and Canton.

The woman was arraigned on the sex crime charge of Deriving Support from Prostitution.

According to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, the woman allegedly used three locations, Aria Day Spa in Brockton, Sparkle Day Spa in Canton and Spa Bellissimo in Norwood, as centers for conducting the purported sex crimes. It it alleged that the masseuses at these various locations were offering sex as part of the service.

A 19 year old Tewksbury man has been indicted by a Middlesex County Grand Jury on several Massachusetts Sex Crimes Charges after allegedly trying to blackmail the purported 15 year old victim with photographs he had taken.

Thomas Hutchinson has been indicted on Rape of a Child by Force; Assault with Intent to Rape; Attempted Extortion; Indecent Assault & Battery on a Child Over 14; and Unlawful Possession of Child Pornography.

According to the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office, Hutchinson allegedly met the 15 year old girl after an online encounter. Prior to meeting, the girl reportedly sent him photos of her in her bathing suit and eventually nude photographs.

Norman Barnes, 28, was indicted by a special grand jury on violation of Massachusetts Sex Crimes for his alleged involvement in forcing underage women into prostitution.

Barnes is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow in Boston’s Suffolk Superior Court on various sex crimes charges, including 10 indictments charging Deriving Support from Prostitution; Statutory Rape; and Dissemination of Obscene Material.

Norman Barnes was arrested on May 19 when one of the young ladies was located by her family at a motel. Massachusetts State Police arrested Barnes that evening at the motel, also seizing almost $20,000 in cash along with a key to the room where he was allegedly staying with a 15 year old girl.

A Massachusetts woman reported this week that she was allegedly raped after meeting a man on Facebook at an Andover hotel. David Rodriguez has been charged in connection with this alleged incident with several Massachusetts Sex Crimes Charges.

According to police, the woman replied to a request for a modeling agency. At the hotel, the woman was allegedly given a drink that was believed to be spiked and ultimately made her feel dizzy. Although the woman reportedly refused to take off all her clothes, she did agree to model lingerie for the man. After taking several photos, however, the man allegedly raped her.

David Rodriguez, who was arrested in New Jersey, has been arraigned in Lawrence District Court on charges of Rape and Assault and Battery. Following his arraignment, he was held on $100,000 cash bail.

Walter Mains, 31, was arrested by Boston Police Officers on Massachusetts Violence Crimes Charges in connection with three separate alleged assaults, all involving women.

Mains was arraigned this afternoon in the Boston Municipal Court on charges including Assault with a Dangerous Weapon; Accosting a Person of the Opposite Sex; Armed Robbery; Assault with Intent to Rape; and Indecent Assault and Battery.

According to Boston Police, Mains allegedly assaulted one woman with a gun; and in a separate incident, allegedly assaulted another woman, again with a gun and tried to rape her. Both assaults allegedly occurred in the Dorchester section of Boston.

Sergio Donatelli, 37, of Woburn, was arrested by Saugus Police on Massachusetts Sex Crimes charges involving allegations of the rape of a child. He has been charged with Rape of a Child, Distribution of Child Pornography, and Indecent Assault & Battery on a Child Over 14.

The crime of Rape of a Child involves the forced sexual intercourse with a child under 16, which is punishable with imprisonment to state prison for any term of years, up to life.

As with most Massachusetts Sex Crimes, a conviction for this sex offense would require the person to become subject to Sex Offender Registration; submit his/her DNA to the state database, and could even subject the person to a term of parole supervision for life.

A recent effort from Massachusetts state legislators and District Attorney’s Offices would put into law a bill that would require sex offenders to register their online names, including e-mail addresses, as well as their accounts on Twitter, Facebook and the like.

The proposed bill would apply to Level 3 Massachusetts Sex Offenders and is being anticipated to being heard later this month. Under the proposal, a failure to register online aliases would be a criminal offense, subjecting the offender to jail time.

The reasoning behind the proposal, according to those sponsoring the bill, is to provide law enforcement with another method of policing those sex offender deemed most ‘dangerous’ and likely to offend by the Massachusetts Sex Offender Registry Board.

Charles Brook, Jr., 66, was recently indicted by the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office on Massachusetts Sex Crimes and Murder Charges in connection with the 1989 Rape and killing of an 87 Boston woman.

At his arraignment in Boston’s Suffolk Superior Court, prosecutors claimed that Charles Brook allegedly sexually assaulted and strangled Zahia Salem, then 87, on November 30, 1989. Her body was found a few hours later by her downstairs neighbor. No person was charged with the crime, until Boston Police were reportedly able to match Charles Brook’s DNA profile that was complied from a cigarette that was found at the scene.

Massachusetts law requires that every person convicted of a felony crime must submit their DNA sample to the state’s DNA database. Because DNA technology wasn’t advanced or even available years back, police departments across Massachusetts and the county are taking advantage of DNA database to link purported DNA profiles to unsolved cases.

Mark David Titto, III, of East Boston, was charged with several Massachusetts Sex Crimes in connection with an alleged rape and sexual assault of a woman on July 13 in a Northborough Motel 6.

Titto was arraigned in Westborough District Court on sex crimes charges of Rape, Indecent Assault & Battery, and Assault & Battery on a Disabled Person with Injury.

According to the Boston Police Department, Mark David Titto allegedly set up an online ad seeking women “with skeletons in the closet” who might be interested in appearing in a purported documentary he was filming. The woman reportedly responded to the ad and met with Titto at a Motel 6, where he allegedly raped and assaulted her. The unidentified woman is deaf, which is an aggravating factor in the charge of Assault & Battery.
